Divorce, Dissolution & Separation

Ohio laws provide different ways for a husband and wife to end or alter their marriage; dissolution or divorce being the primary ways. To obtain a dissolution or divorce, you must be an Ohio resident for at least six months before filing.

Making the decision to end a marriage is not an easy task, and can have a huge impact on your life and the lives of those who you care about most. This legal process can be complicated but it can be easier with the help of an attorney who has handled divorce, dissolution and separation cases for decades. Roger and his office staff can help clarify confusion and reduce stress that can overwhelm individuals going through this legal process.

Legal custody can always be a difficult time and sometimes the courts are the only option to decide who is best fit to be the legal and residential parent for the minor child or children. Roger’s guidance regarding this legal process can help you understand what your rights are and what can be done to determine which parent has the right to make decisions regarding the child. He can also get you the parenting time that you are entitled to have with your child by law.

Estate Planning, Wills, Power of Attorney, Guardianships and Estates

You need an honest attorney when it comes to financial and personal matters. Attorney Hafford will give our clients honest advice that is in the best interest of our clients. Whether it is protecting your children’s inheritance, making out your Last Will & Testament, designating individuals to be your Power of Attorney should something happen to you in the future or addressing the passing of a loved one, our law firm is here for you.

Unfortunately, Attorney Hafford sees clients who have been mislead by other attorneys or individuals into paying too much for legal documents, which are not beneficial for their specific situation. Roger takes pride in advising his clients the most cost effective plan and uses a common sense approach for each individual situation. Every single person is unique, as is their situation and their goals. Our office handles your needs on a case-by-case basis.

Taking guardianship or being a conservator over someone who can no longer take care of themselves either financially, physically and or mentally, can be a chore and the paper work can be quite confusing. Roger will discuss with you the options that a person has based on specific details. He and his office can help you make the right choice and handle the documentation that you need in order to get the process completed.

Losing a loved one is never an easy thing in life and the estate process can make things seem impossible while dealing with the grief that you have over losing that person. Our firm understands just how difficult things can be during that time and can give you piece of mind and offer comfort to take care of the tasks like collecting the debts, obtaining asset values and contacting all of the decedent’s heirs.

Real Estate Transactions, Deeds
and Foreclosure

Buying and selling real estate can be a very important investment in life. Our office handles real estate transactions including but not limited to purchase agreements, deed preparation and land contracts.
Roger also can assist you if you have fallen on hard times when a foreclosure action has been filed against you. He can litigate your case; help negotiate with the lender and request mediation to help save your real estate investment and more importantly, your home.

Traffic/OVI and Criminal

When you are involved in a citation for OVI, or traffic offense, and other criminal matters, you want an experienced criminal defense attorney that knows the laws and the local legal system for the best possible outcome. Roger has several years of experience as prosecutor and as a defense attorney. This gives him helpful insight as to what a client can expect as an outcome to their case.

Personal Injury

Legal representation is a key necessity when you have been involved in any personal injury accident in order to get a fair settlement from the insurance carrier or collect from the at-fault party. Attorney Hafford can handle your case and negotiate with the other parties involved to get you a higher settlement amount, as well as possibly reduce the amount paid on medical bills and other expenses.
